Our new stock is growing! New stock will be available 1st September 2025.About this product
Juniperus communis Hibernica, also known as Irish Juniper, is a lovely, small conifer perfect for small gardens and restricted spaces. Introduced in the late 1830s, it won the RHS Award of Garden Merit in 2002.
This conifer has grey-green scale-like needles for foliage and produces a slender, dense crown as it matures, giving it a flame-shaped appearance.
Juniperus communis Hibernica will tolerate most soils except waterlogged ground. Once mature, it will tolerate some drought.
Irish Juniper is an interesting architectural conifer that can be planted in rockeries and borders. It is also a good feature specimen where space is restricted.
Mature Height: 3-5m
