Product details

Please note: Small Bloodgood multi-stems are 1.5-2 m tall supplied in 55l containers.

Acer palmatum Bloodgood, known as Bloodgood Japanese Maple, is an enhanced clone of Acer palmatum Atropurpureum that keeps its richness of foliage colour throughout the summer.

It has been recognised by the Royal Horticultural Society which granted it the Award of Garden Merit in 2002.

Thriving on most well drained soils, Acer palmatum Bloodgood is best grown as a bush away from strong winds and scorching sun. Its stunning red / purple cut leaves gives great contrast within a garden and it is also recognised for its hardiness, coping well even on the cold winter of 2011/12.

Mature height: 3-7m
