Arends Field Maple
Acer campestre arendsAbout this product
Acer campestre Arends, known as the Arends Field Maple, is a derivative from our own native field maple, Acer campestre. Introduced into the UK in the 1990s, it is of Dutch origin and has a regular upright habit making it ideal for gardens and urban areas. Acer campestre Arends thrives on most free draining soils and its green leaves turn a bright yellow in the autumn. Native trees and their clones are best suited to accommodate wildlife, and the stiff ascending branches of Arends are perfect for hanging nut feeders for birds. Mature height: 7-12m
