Like most conifers of this type, it is most comfortable on free draining light land with no possibility of being waterlogged.
Chamaecyparis lawsoniana Columnaris Glauca is an evergreen tree that requires very little maintenance and its blue tinged foliage is at best effect in the spring.
Its tight, columnar habit makes it a good evergreen choice for a small garden.
