About this product

Tilia x europaea Pallida or the Kaiser Linden is a highly rated Lime of the famous Unter den Linden in Berlin.

This tree has lush leaves that are light green, with a slight yellow hue to the underside, turning in the autumn time to golden yellow and orange in colour.

The pale green leaves are extremely attractive to aphids and the resulting aphid drip that is produced can be messy and as such it is best to avoid planting near paved areas or anything that will be damaged by the aphid drip.

Tilia x europaea Pallida is a variety of the seed grown Common Lime, Tilia x europaea, which is a hybrid of Tilia cordata and Tilia platyphyllos.

This large tree is quick to grow and forms a regular, pyramidal shape at maturity.

It is a useful tree which thrives pretty much anywhere and tolerates all soil types including clay.

This tree is perfect for avenue planting, forming imposing and statuesque specimens at maturity.

It is well suited to traditional parkland planting schemes and like most Limes is a suitable candidate for routine pollarding.

Mature height: 20m+
