Crataegus monogynaOut of stock
Our new stock is growing! New stock will be available 1st September 2025.About this product
Crataegus monogyna, known as Common Hawthorn, Quickthorn or the May Tree, is a very well-used hedgerow plant that can also develop into a small tree if left to its own devices.
White flowers are abundantly produced in May, which yield small red fruits by autumn and are very popular with birds.
Crataegus monogyna is a native tree and thrives on most soils, including heavy ones.
It reacts well to a severe prune if done when it is dormant and makes a fine garden tree.
We also offer a multi-stemmed Crataegus monogyna, which is ideal for creating a striking feature in gardens or landscapes.
Mature Height: 3-7m
