We have grown Amelanchier arborea Robin Hill as a standard tree for years but have just started offering it as a multi-stem.
Its stiffly erect branches differentiate it from Amelanchier lamarckii multi stems, but otherwise, the glorious floral spring display and wonderful autumn colour are the same, if not a little bit more intense.
A versatile plant for a small garden, it is one of the showiest small trees in our range.
If you need to prune it, do so straight after it flowers; otherwise, you will miss out on the display.
