Acer palmatum FireglowOut of stock
Our new stock is growing! New stock will be available 1st September 2025.About this product
Acer palmatum Fireglow, also known as Japanese Maple, was developed around 1977. It is thought to be an improved clone of the superb ‘Bloodgood’. In truth, there is little to choose between them, so try not to agonise over the two! It thrives on most soils.
This lovely Japanese Maple's glorious display of summer leaves provides a great contrast in any garden, so time should be taken to carefully select its planting position to achieve the greatest effect.
As a rule, the eye picks up on deep reds and purples first, so if you place it further back in your landscape, it draws the focus through your garden rather than blocking off view behind it.
We also offer Acer palmatum Fireglow multi stem, which is well-suited for use as natural privacy screens or to add a sense of density to planting schemes.
Mature Height: 5-10m
