Fireglow Japanese Maple
Acer palmatum Fireglow multi stemAbout this product
Acer palmatum Fireglow, also known as Fireglow Japanese Maple, was developed in the mid-1970s as an alternative to the superb Acer palmatum Bloodgood. This specimen is specifically sold as a multi-stem bush, providing a fuller and more natural appearance that enhances its vibrant foliage display.
The Fireglow thrives in well-drained soil and prefers a sheltered location to protect its delicate leaves from strong winds or scorching summer sun. Its foliage tends to flush red and then deepen to reddish green, with a second growth spurt later in the season. As a multi-stemmed bush, its autumn colour is particularly stunning, with leaves turning from red to crimson before falling.
Mature height: 3-7m
