Our new stock is growing! New stock will be available 1st September 2025.About this product
Tilia europaea, also known as European Common Lime, was a frequent choice for the Victorians as an avenue tree for parklands and estates. However, it has now been superseded by more uniform and improved clones, such as Tilia europaea Pallida.
Fast-growing, it forms a broad crown at maturity, and its lush green leaves turn a vivid yellow just before they fall in the autumn.
Tilia europaea is a tough tree that thrives on most soils, including those that remain wet for a month or so during the winter.
It is too big for gardens, so it is best planted in parkland.
Mature height: 20m+
