Tamarix tetandraOut of stock
Our new stock is growing! New stock will be available 1st September 2025.About this product
Tamarix tetandra, also known as Salt Cedar, is evocative of old-fashioned Mediterranean fishing villages. This tree was introduced in 1821 and won the Award of Garden Merit in 2002.
Although primarily considered a coastal plant, it can make a fine garden tree inland if not planted on shallow chalk.
We offer this as a small standard tree with a rounded crown.
Its light pink flowers are freely produced in May / June. This tough subject does well in light sandy soils.
Tamarix tetrandra thrives in coastal areas and withstands windy, exposed sites.
Mature height: 5-10m
