Product details

Platanus orientalis Minaret is a cultivar of Plane tree with a highly dissected leaf. Originally from Asia Minor and India.

This cultivar of Oriental Plane has very deeply dissected, large, bright green leaves, which have 5 lobes.

In autumn they turn yellow and brown before falling.

As the tree matures the bark forms a patchwork effect by flaking off in sections in the same way that London Plane does.

These Pleached specimens have been trained onto frames, making them perfect for high level screening.

The clear stem is 1.8-2m high, with a frame on the top of 1.8m x.1.8m square.

These pleached trees form an immediate continuous screen, or stilted hedge, without encroaching too much into the lateral space of a garden.

Regular pruning of a stilted screen is necessary to ensure density and shape is maintained.
