Japanese Crab
Malus toringo Brouwers BeautyAbout this product
Malus toringo Brouwers Beauty, also known as Japanese Crab, is a stunning little crab apple that produces a mass of single white flowers in the spring that are pink-tinged in the bud, followed by an abundance of reddish/yellow small crab apples in autumn.
We purchased a batch of these bespoke for a customer, and the result was superb. Its light green small indented leaves are decorative in their own right.
Rounded inhabit, ‘ Brouwers Beauty’ is a more uniform version of normal Malus toringo.
Suitable for heavier soils, this small garden tree is also a good pollinator for fruiting varieties.
It makes for an ideal tree for smaller gardens where space is premium.
If you live in an area prone to rabbits or deer, we recommend rabbit guards for these trees.
