Profusion Crab Apple
Malus ProfusionAbout this product
Malus profusion (Profusion Crab Apple) is a fast-growing, pretty little crab apple with extremely attractive flowers and foliage!
It is a lovely cultivar of Crab Apple with deep, wine-red coloured flowers which appear in spring. Initially, the flowers are deep wine red, turning a lighter pink over time.
The young foliage emerges copper-crimson turning bronze-green as the summer progresses. The fruits are very small and blood-red in colour.
Malus profusion is a small growing tree, reaching between 3-7m in height.
Like most Crab Apples, this tree will tolerate most soil conditions including clay.
Malus are a great addition to any planting scheme. They make super individual specimens, as well as suitable candidates for avenue planting, where it is possible to match this pink flowering specimen with a white counterpart such as Malus evereste to get the best of both worlds!
If you live in an area prone to rabbits or deer then we recommend rabbit guards for these trees.
Mature height: 3-7m
