About this product

For those of you who love the thought of a Liquidambar but don’t have the space in your garden to install one, there is a fine option for you!

Liquidambar styraciflua Gumball, also known as Sweet Gum, is a mop-headed tree that retains its dwarfing round shape.

Autumn colour is great, graduating to a deep claret in some years. The crop of 2015/16 retained this display through the winter, which was rather a surprise to us.

Sweet Gum grows well in most well-drained soils, but it should be avoided in heavily alkaline soils.

Often supplied as a half standard, this excellent autumn colour tree can be accommodated in most sized gardens.

Mature height 3-5m
