About this product

Native to areas of east Asia, the Rose of Sharon is South Korea’s national flower and therefore sometimes also referred to as the Korean Rose. Flowers can range from pink to purple to white, mostly with a deeper red-pink throat. On a single tree, it is possible to see differing flower colours at the same time however all equally as beautiful as the next. If you want more surety on the flower colour a named cultivar would be more suitable. At Barcham we currently have the ‘White Chiffon’ variety also available. Small and compact, this is a superb choice for a small space where other trees may grow too large. Being supplied as a half standard means it still has the form of a tree rather than a shrub. The size can further be maintained with pruning and is in fact a beneficial for flower production. Will tolerate most soil types with good drainage.
