For those who can’t accommodate a full-sized Ginkgo but would like to have one, Ginkgo biloba Globosa, or Dwarf Maidenhair, is the tree for you!
Top grafted onto a Ginkgo biloba trunk, this dwarfing variety forms a small rounded crown ideal for areas where space is at a premium.
The leaves of the Ginkgo biloba tree turn a brilliant buttercup yellow in autumn. In the Far East, these leaves are highly valued for their medicinal properties related to memory retention.
This tree thrives in various types of well-draining soils.
As one of the most ancient tree species still in existence, the Ginkgo biloba would not look out of place in Jurassic Park. Its long evolutionary history has made it resilient to pests and diseases.
