Product details
Not seen very much in the UK, this fine beech clone was discovered in Serbia in the very late 1800’s.
Its glory comes from its spring flush and subsequent summer flushes as new leaves emerge yellow before hardening to a light green.
Fagus sylvatica Zlatia can get quite broad so is best suited for large gardens and parkland.
Best planted on free draining lighter soils, Fagus sylvatica Zlatia is a great tree for providing colour contrast within a parkland mix.
There are few yellow foliaged trees that last the test of time but this is one of the best in the spring and early summer.
