Our new stock is growing! New stock will be available 1st September 2025.About this product
Fagus sylvatica Zlatia, commonly known as Zlatia Beech, is rarely seen in the UK. This notable beech clone was discovered in Serbia in the late 1800s.
Its beauty is highlighted by spring blossoms and summer foliage, as new leaves first emerge yellow before turning light green.
Fagus sylvatica Zlatia can get quite broad, so it is best suited for large gardens and parkland.
Best planted on free-draining lighter soils, Fagus sylvatica Zlatia is a great tree for providing colour contrast within a parkland mix.
Few yellow-flowered trees last the test of time, but this is one of the best in the spring and early summer.
Mature height: 7-12m
Why do some trees hold onto their dead leaves?
