Known commonly as Chinese Redbud, this hardy plant is fine on free draining soils but is not recommended in exposed areas.
The dark pink buds litter the branches and stem network in the late spring to burst into flower by May.
Preferring south facing gardens, Cercis Chinensis Avondale certainly is a show stopper.
