Chinese Redbud
Cercis chinensis Avondale multi stemAbout this product
What an absolute beauty!
Known commonly as Chinese Redbud, Cercis chinensis Avondale multi stem is a hardy plant that grows well in free draining soils but is not recommended in exposed areas.
The dark pink buds litter the branches and stem network in the late spring to burst into flower by May.
Cercis chinensis Avondale is a charming tree that thrives in full sun or partial shade. Adaptable to a variety of soil types, including chalk, clay, loam, and sand, it offers versatility for different garden conditions. This tree requires little to no pruning, and harder pruning may actually spoil its natural form. With an ultimate spread of 1.5 to 2.5 meters, it is an excellent choice for smaller gardens or as a focal point in larger landscapes.
Preferring south facing gardens, Cercis chinensis Avondale certainly is a showstopper.
We supply as both multi-stemmed and half standards.
