Silver Birch Westwood
Betula pendula WestwoodOut of stock
Our new stock is growing! New stock will be available 1st September 2025.About this product
Betula pendula Westwood, a lovely clone of the UK native Silver Birch, orginated from near Beverley, Yorkshire.
Particularly vigorous when young, this pyramidal tree has a great form. Its regular habit lends itself to being crown lifted over time to show off its showy silvery bark. Like all Birches, this is best done from October through to December.
Its green leaves turn to a buttercup yellow in the Autumn.
This new introduction thrives on most free-draining soils and is surface-rooted. It has enough guts to thrive in the urban environment!
Mature height: 12-17m
