Zelkova serrata Green VaseAbout this product
Zelkova serrata Greenvase, known as Keyaki, is an American clone of Zelkova serrata that was introduced into the UK from its native Japan in the 1860s.
It is considered a better form than its parent, but like most children, it ultimately looks like its forebears!
Fine green leaves emerge in the spring and turn gold, orange, and sometimes red in the autumn before leaf fall.
Zelkova serrata Greenvase thrives on most free-draining soils. It will grow too big for most gardens to accommodate, so it is best planted in parkland or larger municipal areas.
Mature height: 12-17m
