About this product

Ulmus Vada 'Wanoux' is a medium-sized Dutch hybrid elm cultivar, created from a cross between the Siberian elm (Ulmus pumila) and the European elm (Ulmus minor). It is a fast-growing tree that initially develops a conical to columnar shape, eventually forming an attractive oval crown. This vigorous grower can reach a mature height of 10 to 12 meters.

The tree features broad, dark green leaves that create a lush canopy during spring and summer. In autumn, the foliage transforms into a striking brown-yellow, adding seasonal interest. During March and April this tree produces dense clusters of small green flowers, adding another layer of charm.

Well-suited to wet soils, this elm is also remarkably adaptable, showing some resistance to Dutch Elm Disease. It is tolerant of both strong winds and sea breezes, making it an ideal choice for urban and coastal environments. With its elegant form and robust nature, this specimen is particularly suitable as a street tree or for other landscape applications.
