Basswood

The ‘Prestige’ is a smaller and slenderer cultivar of Lime, maturing to 15m. Its large leaves can grow to be bigger than your hand, moved by the wind to show their silvery underside. This textured leaf means it is not susceptible to aphid and therefore dew drip. Creamy-yellow flowers are popular with pollinators, turning into small brown hairy ‘fruits’. An excellent choice for an avenue tree. Tolerant of a wide range of well drained soils.
