About this product

Native to China and Korea it was first introduced to Kew Gardens in 1907. Clusters of small white flowers typically arrive late spring to early summer and as the common name suggests, are highly desirable to bees! Small red seed pods follow, which open to reveal glossy black seeds enjoyed by birds. A good choice for wildlife, it grows with a broadly rounded shape so is best planted in parkland or a large garden where it has the space to grow. Hardy, but does best in a sheltered position on a free draining soil.
