About this product

Note: Small specimens are supplied 1-1.5m tall.

There are nearly 1,000 varieties of Syringa vulgaris, all with slightly differing blossom colours and forms. It boils down to whether you want your Lilac Tree blue or white!

Syringa vulgaris Madame Lemoine was first introduced in the late 1890s and is the second of our white-flowing types.

Double white flowers are produced from May through June. This small garden tree thrives in most free-draining soils but prefers slightly alkaline ones.

Its dark green oval leaves turn yellow in the autumn before dropping in late October / early November.

Syringa vulgaris Madame Lemoine is a great tree for a small garden. It grows well in semi-shade or sun.

Mature height: 3-5m
