Product details

Small specimens are supplied 1-1.5m tall There are nearly 1000 varieties of Syringa vulgaris, all with slightly differing blossom colours and forms but it boils down to whether you want lilac blue or white!

Syringa vulgaris Madame Lemoine was first introduced way back in the late 1890s and is the second of the white flowing types that we offer.

Double white flowers are produced in May through to June and whereas this small garden tree thrives in most free draining soils, it prefers it slightly alkaline.

Its dark green oval leaves turn turn to yellow in the autumn before dropping late October / early November.

Syringa vulgaris Madame Lemoine is a great tree for a small garden and will grow well in semi shade or sun.

Mature height: 3-5m
