About this product

A vigorous and hardy grower of Hungarian origin. Strongly ascending branches mean the tree is upright when young, spreading as the tree matures to around half of its total height and ovate in shape. Clusters of tiny creamy coloured flowers are borne in June though can be short lived. Like the species, the branches are covered with large thorns which can also be on the trunk so handle with care! Suitable for a wide range of planting sites where space permits, its can even tolerate some drought due to its small leaflets with less surface to respire.
