Thornless False Acacia
Robinia pseudoacacia BessonianaOut of stock
Our new stock is growing! New stock will be available 1st September 2025.About this product
Robinia pseudoacacia Bessoniana, or Thornless False Acacia, is perhaps the pick of the Robinia cultivars.
When the crown is immature, the soft green leaves that emerge late in spring are pleasing on the eye. However, like all Robinia, it develops into an untidy, haphazard affair, with brittle limbs that are prone to breaking out at maturity.
Its thornless stems and a smattering of white flowers are redeeming features.
Robinia pseudoacacia Bessoniana are not suitable for gardens as they are budded onto Robinia pseudoacacia rootstock that can sucker.
Mature Height: 7-12m
