About this product

Quercus cerris, known as Turkey Oak, has been a regular in the UK since the 1730s.

Fast-growing, it thrives on most soils from light to heavy and even does well near the coast, though not as the first line of defence.

Its shiny robust leaves give the tree a vigorous look and its trunk develops into a craggy fissured bark.

Too big for most gardens, it is best planted in parkland where the broad canopy can fulfil its potential.

Quercus cerris has a good autumn show with its leaves turning to yellow before leaf fall.

Mature height: 17-22m
