Pyrus communis Gieser Wildeman
About this product
Bred by Mr Wildeman from the Netherlands around 1850, this European variety of cooking pear has a vibrant grey green summer foliage and white spring flowers.
If you like your crumbles, these russet pears that appear in the late summer are great for stewing and cooking!
Gieser Wildeman prefer free draining but moisture retentive soils. To help promote fruit size, we advise keeping a one metre mulch ring around the base to limit grass and weed competition.
Mature height: 5-8m
