Product details

This great clone was discovered within a seedbed of Prunus cerasifera seedlings in the early 1980s in America and selected for its upright growing habit and burgundy wine foliage colour.

Stiffly ascending branches make this the purple leaved plum version of Prunus amanogowa, so this new introduction is ideal for a small garden where space is at a premium.

Pink tinged white flowers emerge in spring along with young bronze foliage and the combination of the two is very attractive.

Prunus cerasifera Crimson Point is a great small tree for providing contrast within a garden and it thrives on most free draining soils.

Its leaves are slightly two toned, above and beneath so it is quite effective in a breeze.

Mature Height: 3-7m
