About this product

Populus tremula, known as Trembling or Quaking Aspen, is a tough native tree that is quick to grow on pretty much any soil type in the UK.

Its leaves are supported by slender leaf stalks that prompt the foliage to rustle even on the slightest of breezes. Green leaves turn to yellow in the autumn, but this large broad tree can sucker, so is unsuited to a garden and better placed within a parkland.

Populus tremula produces catkins in the spring and is often seen thriving in wet soils.

Mature Height: 12-17m
