Product details

Phyllostachys aurea, known as Golden Bamboo, is a vigorous and bushy evergreen ideal for screening.

It suckers up from its base and soon makes a border its own so beware!

The clumps of canes are green when young but mature into thicker golden stems which provide good contrast within a garden.

It can be butchered back to ground level in April and will recover admirably and quickly.

Phyllostachys aurea thrives well on most free draining soils and was introduced from China in the 1870s.

Mature Height: 3-5m
