Parrotia persica multi stemOut of stock
Our new stock is growing! New stock will be available 1st September 2025.About this product
Persian Ironwood is usually grown as a large shrub and was formerly classified as a species of Hamamelis.
This tree is native to Iron and takes its name from the well-known German horticulturalist F.W. Parrot.
There are some charming specimens at the Westonbirt Arboretum near Stroud.
A beautiful, small, rounded tree with grey-brown bark that becomes attractively mottled with yellow.
This really is one of the finest small trees for autumn colour, giving a display of crimson, purple, red, and gold.
A splendid choice for gardens and parks, it does well in most soils, including chalk.
This particular product is a multi-stem version, ideal for creating a striking feature in gardens or landscapes. Multi-stem trees are also well-suited for use as natural privacy screens or to add a sense of density to planting schemes. We also offer a single-stem version of Persian Ironwood, ideal for those seeking a more traditional appearance.
