About this product

The White Mulberry, or Morus alba, is widely cultivated to feed silkworms for the commercial production of silk. However, this has never been successful here!

Its ascending branches carry lush green foliage throughout the summer, which always seems to brim with vigour.

Morus alba grows well on most free-draining soils. Its lovely foliage displays turn golden yellow in the autumn before dropping for the season.

Perfect for a medium-sized garden, it can tolerate dry conditions once established.

Although quite a hardy tree, it does prefer a sheltered spot away from cold winds.

Mature height: 3-7m
