Crabapple Donald Wyman
Malus Donald WymanAbout this product
Malus Donald Wyman, also known as Crabapple Donald Wyman, is a tried-and-tested performer raised by the late Donald Wyman at the Arnold Arboretum in the USA. This tree is resistant to apple scab and mildew and develops a rounded habit at maturity, making it ideal for parks and gardens.
In spring, the flowers emerge as red to pink buds, opening to white in full bloom. The fruit matures to a glossy vivid red and can be profuse so it is best to plant away from paved areas to avoid cleaning up. The leaves are dark green by summer.
We recommend rabbit guards for these trees if you live in an area prone to rabbits or deer.
Mature height: 3-7m
