Our new stock is growing! New stock will be available 1st September 2025.About this product
This Magnolia was bred in America, notably at the US National Arboretum in 1963 and is a cross between Magnolia lilliflora and Magnolia sprengeri ‘Diva’. The flowers are dark purple and tulip shaped, appearing before the foliage in the spring time.
The foliage is lush and bright green and emerges once this pretty tree has finished its floral display.
At maturity, this lovely Magnolia forms a pyramidal shaped crown which is well balanced and broadens with age.
Like most Magnolias, this tree does best on moist but free-draining fertile soils and in sheltered or partially shaded positions.
Magnolia are a great choice to bring spring interest into a garden, lavishing colour at a pretty bleak time of year.
Mature height: 7-12mm
