About this product

First named in the 1960s, this cultivar has an upright habit when young, gradually broadening as it matures.

In spring, the tree is covered with fragrant, tulip-like flowers. The blooms are white with a pink blush at the base, giving the tree an overall light pink appearance when viewed in full flower.

It grows well in full sun or partial shade and prefers a well-drained soil, ideally with some acidity. It typically develops a spread of around 4-8m.

Minimal pruning is required. If pruning is necessary, deciduous magnolias are best pruned between midsummer and early autumn.
