A more conical cultivar of Magnolia grandiflora, Magnolia grandiflora Ferruginea still produces the same glossy evergreen foliage with a brown underside and large creamy white flowers during the summer months.

As with most trees of this type, the flowers of Southern Magnolia get better and better with age—the bigger the tree, the more flowers!
