Yellow River Magnolia

Magnolia denudata Yellow River is a stunning Magnolia introduced from Japan. It produces large, goblet-shaped canary yellow flowers.

The flowers of this pretty tree are wonderfully fragrant and appear in April and May. They adorn the bare branches with a brilliant yellow that cannot be overlooked. 

The bright green foliage follows, turning a lemony yellow before falling in autumn. Like other Magnolias, this tree will grow on most soils, preferring a free-draining and slightly sheltered aspect to protect the flowers from the frost. 

For Magnolia, this is quite a vigorous grower. When young, it has a fairly tight, upright crown that broadens with age.

Magnolia denudate Yellow River is an elegant and low maintenance tree, making it a super addition to any planting scheme that is aiming to produce spring cheer, year upon year. 

This tree makes a great specimen tree and as such we supply this Magnolia as a standard, with a clear stem and crown.
