Magnolia denudata Yellow River

Magnolia denudata Yellow River is a stunning Magnolia that was introduced from Japan and produces large, goblet shaped canary yellow flowers.

The flowers of this pretty tree are wonderfully fragrant and appear in April and May, adorning the bare branches with a brilliant yellow which cannot be over looked. 

The bright green foliage follows, turning a lemony yellow before falling in the autumn time. Like other Magnolias, this tree will grow on most soils, preferring a free draining and slightly sheltered aspect to protect flowers from the frost. 

For Magnolia, this is quite a vigorous grower that has a fairly tight, upright, crown when it is young, that broadens with age.

Magnolia denudate Yellow River is an elegant and low maintenance tree, making it a super addition to any planting scheme that is aiming to produce spring cheer, year upon year. 

This tree makes a great specimen tree and as such we supply this Magnolia as a standard, with a clear stem and crown.
