Mountain Silverbell, Snowdrop tree

Commonly known as the Mountain Silverbell or Snowdrop tree, this lovely tree originates from America and makes a medium-sized garden tree dripping with summer white blossoms. 

Halesia monticola can tolerate temperatures as low as -15 °C but should not be planted in exposed locations. Instead, it thrives in south-facing gardens with well-drained soil. While it is adaptable to most soil types, it performs best in acidic soils. 

The flower is the purest of white, marking this as a beautiful garden tree.
