About this product

Derived from the thorny Honey Locust, Gleditsia triacanthos, this thornless clone is a better prospect for the urban environment. Its compound green leaves go a stunning dark yellow in autumn. Suitable on most soils it will also thrive on wetter sites and is a tough tree for urban road corridors. Its habit is wide spreading so care must be taken to ensure it has enough room to develop.

Gleditsia is a native of central and North America and it now a regular through the UK & Europe. If you are after a narrower and more controlled thornless clone, look to Gleditsia triacanthos Draves Street Keeper.

Mature height: 15-20m
