About this product

Introduced from America in 1700, its seed pods hold a sticky sweet resin from which it derives its common name. This large, oval and rather elegant tree has leaves which resemble fern-like fronds. When mature, it looks most striking with its shiny, long seed pods. A good choice for parks and industrial areas, it does well in most soils. Be careful on handling this tree as it is very thorny!
