Lawsons Cypress Stardust, Yellow Lawsons Cypress
Chamaecyparis lawsoniana StardustAbout this product
Chamaecyparis lawsoniana Stardust is a stunning golden yellow variety of Lawsons Cypress that was introduced from Holland in the 1960s and won the RHS Award of Garden Merit in 2002.
This pretty conifer has a very columnar shape, carrying small scale-like leaves in dense, flattened foliage sprays with lively golden yellow growing tips. The cones are small and globose.
Like other Lawson Cypress varieties, this clone will tolerate most soils, provided the area is well drained.
Chamaecyparis lawsoniana Stardust is a slow-growing, small, evergreen conifer, making it perfect for gardens.
However, its columnar shape makes it more of a specimen tree than a screening tree, as the majority of the width for coverage will always be at the base of this tree.
Mature height: 3-7m
