Betula utilis Snow Queen

Tree size guide

About this product

There are so many clones of Betula utilis Jacquemontii on the market and there is little difference between them! This particular clone becomes white at an earlier age, approximately three years old.

Flowers and catkins are borne in spring leading to a dappled canopy with small ovate leaves. Leaves turn a golden yellow before falling in the autumn.

Suited to most soil types making it useful for all types of planting schemes from urban to smaller gardens.

Requiring little maintenance as it keeps its shape well but if pruning is required then this is best done in the winter before Christmas when the tree is dormant.

Mature height: 7-12m
Mature spread: 3-5m
