This new clonal variation has been trademarked in Holland and is as it sounds, very columnar. New foliage is a brighter yellow than old so the tree graduates from green to yellow as you work your way up the slender crown.
Soil tolerances are the same as the parent, but this clone, due to its shape and size, is far better suited to restricted urban spaces and small gardens.
This spectacular tree is well used against a darker background to light up its surrounding aspect. Like all new clones brought to market, time will tell on whether it performs well through to maturity and beyond, but its attributes are so appealing that we are giving it a go!
