Barcham tree roots

Quality

Barcham quality in the production of container grown trees is second to none.

The aim at Barcham Trees is to produce high quality trees in containers which will establish quickly and effectively with minimum losses. It is important to Barcham that each tree flourishes and gives full amenity effect following planting. Each tree that leaves the nursery is covered by a one year guarantee which covers each tree providing recommended maintenance schedules are followed. Naturally vandalism is excluded as even Barcham cannot influence that.

Trees to be containerised are carefully selected to an exacting specification drawn up by the company and each tree is inspected prior to containerisation with any tree falling below the required standard rejected.

All trees are root and head pruned prior to containerisation in accordance with the needs of each individual species and or variety.
Once on the nursery the newly containerised trees are connected to the irrigation system where with each water application a liquid feed is applied to ensure continued root and crown development.

There is a continuous and ever developing programme of head pruning across the whole of the stock range to ensure that each individual tree is in the optimum condition for despatch and planting out.

Once a customer has placed an order each tree on that order is individually selected and marked with the customers order reference number and is individually reserved. Customers are encouraged to visit the nursery and select trees for themselves ensuring that the subjective preferences of each individual are catered for.
Once a despatch date has been agreed the trees are lifted from the nursery and transported to the despatch yard. Trees are inspected at the time of lifting and again at the point of loading onto the lorry. Any problems are identified and if necessary alternative trees selected to complete the order.

Trees are transported by hauliers experienced and practised in the handling of container trees for Barcham.

Should there be any problems once the trees are planted Barcham will provide a post planting service making site inspections where appropriate to ensure that satisfaction is achieved.
