About this product

Acer campestre Arends, known as the Arends Field Maple, is a derivative of our own native field maple, Acer campestre. Introduced in the UK in the 1990s, it is of Dutch origin and has a regular upright habit, making it ideal for gardens and urban areas.

Acer campestre Arends thrives on most free-draining soils; its green leaves turn a bright yellow in autumn.

Native trees and their clones are best suited to accommodate wildlife, and the stiff ascending branches of Arends are perfect for hanging nut feeders for birds.
