Product Details

Syringa reticulata is a small tree, or large bush, that is native to Asia, Northen Japan and China.  The clone Syringa reticulate Ivory Silk was introduced from Canada in 1973 and makes an excellent small tree.

Japanese Lilac trees have small, deep green elliptical leaves that emerge in spring before the flower which is produced in June/July, providing a super display when most other trees have finished their floral efforts.  This cultivar produces large clusters of ivory white flowers that are wonderfully fragrant and long lasting.  In autumn the deeply coloured leaves turn to soft yellow.

Syringa reticulata Ivory Silk forms a dense and oval headed crown at maturity and will tolerate most soil conditions, providing it is well drained.

This pretty little tree makes a lovely addition to a garden and will attract a host of wildlife whilst in flower.  It is best planted in a sunny position in order to get the best from it.

Mature Height: 3-7m
