The Tamarisk is so evocative of old fashioned, Medditerranean fishing villages.

Introduced way back in 1821, this won the Award of Garden Merit in 2002.

Although primarily thought of as a coastal plant, it can make a fine garden tree inland, so long as it is not planted on shallow chalk.

We offer this as a small standard tree with a rounded crown.

Its light pink flowers are freely produced in May / June. A tough subject, which does well in light, sandy soils.

Is very good for coastal locations and is also tolerant of exposed, windy sites.

Mature height: 5-10m
