The earliest flowering Rowan.

Introduced from its native Northern China in the mid 1880s this clone is often lumped in together with ‘Commixta’ even though the berry colour is different.

One of the earliest rowans to flower in the spring, it makes a lovely garden tree that requires little maintenance.

Creamy-yellow fruits are borne on red stalks by late summer in the manner of ‘Joseph Rock’ and it forms an open crown made up from ascending branches.

It thrives on most soils although like most rowans it will prefer it slightly acid.
